I write inspirational nonfiction essays, articles, and books. I also also write young adult fiction under the pen name J. D. Brown. I hope you find something here that resonates with you!

I’ve been writing on my blog for over ten years. I love the freedom it gives me to explore the different stages my life. I recently graduated with my Master’s in English, and I can’t wait to share some of the great literature and ideas I discovered while going to school. I also love cats, chickens, gardening, poetry, reading, and a bunch of other things because I like to keep life interesting and new. I live with my husband and two kids in a small town in Utah and I’m a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Not all my writing has religious themes, but it’s a big part of who I am and how I write. Ultimately, my goal is to find ways to tell stories that inspire my readers while also feeling real.
